Storyteller. Sustainability advocate. Always exploring.

Meet Ai

Hello, I'm Ai Tsuruta-Owen (pronounced like eye), half Okinawan, half African American, and endlessly curious about the stories behind what we eat, where we go, and how we live sustainably. A professional photographer and videographer since 2012, I started this journey in 2018 with Eco Nomad Eats, my love letter to local food, mindful travel, and everyday sustainable living, built on a belief that real change starts with understanding the systems behind what we consume and supporting small-scale producers and communities along the way.

I bring a Marketing degree, a Biology minor, and an in-progress graduate degree in Environmental Sustainability to everything I create, using travel as both a subject and a tool, exploring different cultures, cuisines, and sustainable practices around the world and sharing what I learn along the way.
